Smart Board Reflection
As I look back at my first time when I learn about the SMART Board,
I am amazed at the impact that technology has made in my life. Technology has
become an integral piece to support student learning in the classroom. In many
situations, I could not imagine my future classroom without that technology. I
feel that as our world becomes more digitals, we need to use these resources to
best serve our 21st century learners.
Then, I have found that SMART Board is one of the most useful tools
that I have used this year has been the laptop carts. It is wonderful to have
access to programs, the internet and so on without I having to spread out all
over the school. Through SMART Board I can teach a lesson, introduce a concept,
monitor progress, have students research, or blog all within the walls of my
classroom. After that, I also feel amazing with the procedures and are very
responsible with the technology. It is a huge benefit to be able to use the
SMART Board together with the laptops to enhance student learning.
Every piece of technology I have used this year has had its benefits
and its drawbacks. I am continually navigating my way on this digital highway
to find the best fit for me. As I look forward, I am sure that my best
practices will change to accommodate my students for next year. The digital
devices are valuable in so many areas of student learning. As our curriculum
evolves, I am anxious to use technology to incorporate more inquiry learning
into my classroom next year.
Besides, I can see how I will use it differently depending on the
subject area and the grade level. I am confident that I will be able to enhance
learning effectively with this digital media, yet I know that I will need to
build slowly so as to not feel too overwhelmed. I feel truly blessed to have
this digital experience. I know that I would not use near the amount of
technology that I do if I was not in this subject.
